Stock photos made with AI.
I am building a stock photos website, powered by AI. Maybe it sounds dumb because people can just generate their images on MidJourney or via ChatGPT nowdays, so what use can Photozilla have?
Indeed, most people can do just that. But will they? Especially that there are some issues with the popular AI image generators:
- each service requires separate subscription to be used
- in most cases, they have a specific "AI vibe", especially when generating people
- generating what you need is a matter of iterating on prompts, which can be time consuming
- once you generate the images, you can either use them on the spot, but if you don't, they will get buried in the chat/generation history
- there is no library of already made good enough images. Here's how the current MidJourney "explore" page looks like (unusable images that instantly give the AI specific vibe).
- Most people are just not technical enough to use image generators directly and know how to tweak the generation algorithm to get proper images (what even are "stylization", "variety" and "weirdness" when generating with midjourney, to not mention "sref", "cref" or "seed".
